News from Fashion Fringe - the annual fashion award now has a permanent home in Covent Garden. The 303 applications have been reduced to 10 semi finalists who have been invited to the London College of Fashion to have their technical abilities tested, before being whittled down to 4 finalists who will show in September. The judging panel includes regular supporter Roland Mouret and is chaired by Donatella Versace. Together with UK shoe designer Rupert Sanderson, Fashion Fringe has developed an award which will give one shoe designer the opportunity to work alongside Rupert and travel to his factory in Italy to learn production methods from the man himself.
