Hi everyone,

I know I haven't written an entry for a while.. I have had a sudden berevement in the family so things have been a bit hectic.

But things at uni can't stop for long. I now have three weeks left until I have to hand in my collection, where our tutors will decide which ones are going to graduate fashion week.

I have now made five leather jackets, two pairs of leather trousers, and two pairs of skintight stretchy trousers, and have to make six outfits in total.

At the moment, I get to uni at about 8-9am and leave at around 7-8pm - it's long days, and we don't usually take a lunch break. Sounds harsh but if you're reading this and thinking of doing a fashion degree, that's what it takes to get a good collection together!

At the weekends, and when I get home at night, I'm working on my portfolio and sketchbooks, as these are also a part of the degree.

I'm finding it quite hard to put together my designs, aas they are quite conceptual,a nd are not made like traditional garments. For example, one jacket had around 15 layers of leather I had to sew together - much too thick for the leather sewing machines, so I had to hand turn it all - It took ages but I'm determined to make my collection how I designed it without having to compromise. I've put a few images up of my first jacket, and I'll update you soon!
