Graduate Fashion Week drew to a close with two Gala shows showcasing collections which had been shown through the week to the judging panel which includes Hilary Alexander and Claudia Schiffer. This is the second year that there has been a £20,000 River Island Gold Award and Ravensbourne student Jessica Au scooped not only this but also the Zandra Rhodes Catwalk Textiles Award. The Pringle Visionary Knitwear Award went to Nottingham Trent student Ria Thomas, the northern colleges did well with the Menswear Award going to Domingo Rodriguez of Liverpool John Moore's University, while Nabil El Nayal from Manchester won the Womenswear Award. A fellow Manchester student, Tim Rhys Evan was awarded the British Fashion Council Creative Cutting Award and SDC Colour and Textiles Award went to Laura Fauval of Ravensbourne.
