Greenknickers
Run by designer Sarah Lucy Smith and fashion merchandiser Rose Cleary-Southwood, Greenknickers is, just as it sounds, a company specialising in ethical undies. Based in south London, production takes place in India using organic cotton and the UK using hemp and silk, as well as in China (but still fair trade and ethically made the website states).
As we know, cotton is literally a killer crop responsible for around 3 million posionings a year and there are 20,000 deaths from petsicide use. For women Greenknickers offers handprinted cotton pants and silk/hemp combos and for men there are organic cotton boxers with 'eat organic embriodered on them. All the panties come in lovely boxes and prices start at £12 - but right now there's a sale on so prices start at £6.
