Photovoice

Photovoice is a charity which uses the power of documentary photography to help people worldwide living under difficult conditions, but instead of the troubled being the subjects of photos taken by professional snappers from far away places, they are taken by the people themselves.

In most cases, 50% of the money raised from selling these shots goes to the photographer and the remaining 50% to Photovoice. The idea that you can give a voice to people by giving them a camera to record their own environments is very powerful, as are many of the photos from projects around the globe.
