Ann-Sofie Back

It was ice cool, irreverent glamour ahoy at Ann-Sofie Back. Draped Grecian dresses paired with gargantuan blazers and cling-filmed heels were modelled with a fierce swagger.

With liposuction and celebrity surgery as the rather unlikely point of reference, bikini clad models were scrawled with pre-surgery scribbles (also transformed into a linear print for a T-shirt) and jersey dresses, pulled ruthlessly tight with drawstrings, mirror the process of a facelift, albeit with rather less blood and gore.

In a season of frills and froth this rock ‘n’ roll collection with a seriously grisly theme injected some much-needed dark humour into the schedule. Tiered dresses are slashed at the hem – deliberately achieving that ‘end of a wild night out’ look London girls are famous for, and a starry laser print echoes those pesky paparazzi flashbulbs that catch it on camera.

Stand out pieces? An optical illusion micro mini and her exaggerated take on the now ubiquitous ‘boyfriend blazer’. A sharp collection displaying that Ann-Sofie is a deft hand at London grit.
