Updated to reflect the improvement in Oki's general service.

In here for any reports of order problems during the Sales.

Just had the dispatch notice for my order, and now it looks like one of the items is out of stock, even though it's been 'out for delivery' since yesterday afternoon.

I'm in a complete state of shock, can't believe that's happened.

Maybe send on a link to the thread after everyone gets there's down. They're not gonna want stuff popping up on google about their shit service.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression people thought Oki-ni was worse than most online sites. Apologies if I made that assumption.

As an example, I know people have quite rightly complained when a company has no decent stock check on their system. I can just about accept receiving an e-mail to tell me, 'Sorry, we couldn't send your item out because it is in fact out of stock'.

In Oki's case, the order is placed in the 'ready to dispatch', then to 'dispatch', and it's only when I point out the lack of tracking code for one of the items that they go, 'Oh, sorry sir, that appears to be out of stock.'

If I hadn't mentioned it, I would have opened up the parcel to find only 2 items and no explanation for it. Yeah, I'm venting, but to me that's more than fucked up, that's online fraud.

They should definitely use some kind of stock inventory system so that as soon as the last of any item is purchased the buy button is removed from the product page so they can't oversell. Should be standard practice for online selling

One question, if they send you a dispatch notice confirming delivery of an entire order can they then cancel items after the fact?

By the way, if I've put this site into disrepute by posting this thread then please delete it.

They could cancel when they want? If they dont have the items, what do you expect them to send? I dont see the huge war on oki ni 50% many great deals had, and people still hate? Puzzled

Essence, if you've had a good experience with them, then fair dos. I personally haven't, and I was under the impression others hadn't either.

Like I said, if an items not in stock fair enough. But a) the item didn't even show as out of stock on the order, it said, 'ready for delivery' and b) I pointed out the weird wording on the 'dispatch' notice and only then did they confirm it was out of stock.

Natterjacks.com is a bad offender for listing things which arent in stock. To be fair they dont take payment though and usually let you know within 24hrs

Laughing out loud I know it's coming off like that. I just don't like to think others are getting the same deal. If they're not, apologies. Guess I'm just going through a bad luck patch at the moment.

Same here, no further 'confirmation' or dispatch notice.
