Had a look at this - the classic hakkasan lunch menu looks more filling than the yauatcha set tou chan menu.

@robadob - been to DTF when they visited Taiwan but good suggestion nonetheless.

South Ken/Chelsea area would be good.

It’s decent, went before Xmas. Get the Gnudi if it’s on the menu - that was the stand out.
Not quite at Padella levels, but nice you can book.

Friend of mine has recently opened his own restaurant called Legare, based in London Bridge area.

https://legarelondon.com/

Definitely worth checking out if you’re into Italian food.

Lion and Lobster for Sunday Roast and decent boozer
64 Degrees is a really good small plate / taster menu place - seats about 16 so have to book in advance
Murmur has a decent brunch
Riddle and Finn does incredible fish

It’s hard recommending a friends restaurant without it coming across as if you’re just recommending it as it’s a friends, but it really is good quality Italian food.

Can anyone recommend somewhere vegetarian or with good vegetarian options in Edinburgh for a birthday?

Yeah, David Bann is probably your best option for completely vegetarian but doesn't really have the birthday vibe for me. Depends what kind of birthday celebration you envisage I suppose. Hendersons Bistro is another option but I think David Bann is better.

Seeds for the Soul in Bruntsfield gets good reviews but I haven't tried it yet.

If pubs are an option for a more relaxed vibe than David Bann then Holyrood 9A and Cambridge Bar both have good vegetarian burgers (as well as meaty ones). Akva has several good vegetarian options (burger, curry and salads from memory).

We still haven't been to Timberyard yet, keep meaning to but haven't got around to it.

David Bann probably needs booked (unless you go early), the rest you can probably turn up if it's just two of you.

Just shout (maybe in the Edinburgh thread) if you want recommendations for anything else.

Headed to London tomorrow for a mates 40th (which is now cancelled as he’s self isolated). Consequently now have a Saturday night free and staying in an area im not overly familiar with… Fulham way (think my nearest tube is West Brompton)

Anyone recommend me somewhere decent in the vicinity (or maybe a short walk/tube journey away?) Preferably not too spendy as we have Flor, Brat and Bancone booked Sun/Mon
