For Korea we've booked Seoul and Jeju Island so far, but would be great to go elsewhere. Will be out in Bali for 3/4 weeks so can explore. Any recommendations for Korea and Bali?
For Bali, if you like nature stay in Ubud, there are still a few expats (Aussies) there but nowhere near as many as the beach cities/areas. Avoid Seminyak as it's overrun with Aussies and tourists, and the roads are congested as fuck in the evenings due to the night time economy. However, Sanur to the east is much nicer in respect to being low key, quiet and its crystal clear waters.

Been a few years since I have been to Bali and have to say I dont mind Seminyak / Canggu - depends if you are looking to chill out or both - places to check out. Bars / Beach clubs - Motel Mexicola, Potato Head, Woo Bar in W, Ke De Ta, Corner House.Mamasan used to be the place for food. Katamama is a hotel by some of the guys at LN-CC so looks cool, a few firends stayed there.
I would 100% travel around though and do Ubud, its quiet sleepy though aside the main strip. Monkey forest is worth it. Avoid Gili T, unless you're comfortable being with crowds of under 25s. Probably avoid Nusa Dua, its basically tourist hub which locals arent allowed to enter. I'd avoid Kuta as well.
Uluwatu is also nice - Single Fin / Sundays used to be the places but there are understand much more now. Pandang Pandang and Bingin beachs nice.

Anything else hype worth doing/seeing/eating over there nowadays) last went in 2015.You might get lucky and be there for one of their now routine winter hot spells. Have been before but in much warmer climes so not necessarily having to spend a lot of time outside this time around seeing the usual touristy shit. Gonna hit up a few museums etc.
Looks like I was there and had a few near FUK unmeets with Essexboy during the most recent hot spell a couple weeks ago.
The Wolfgang Tillmans show at MOMA is definitely worth having a butcher's at.

This was one of my old posts for NYC. Mostly food shouts
Parm is another option on mulberry (it’s owned by carbone)
Used to like drinks at the twins lounge in greenpoint as well
Watch a knicks/nets game if you’re into NBA
Giants also doing well this season
There’s a good touristy pub called Jack Dempseys a few doors down from Rick’s as well which is always a good place to have a few and always meeting randoms at the bar
Oh and go to los tacos #1 for sure
Get the uptown train to Harlem and eat soul food ag Sylvia’s. Live jazz at red rooster on Monday night always fun as well

Rira, it's been absolutely fine when I went through from Aberdeen to Munich. Would recommend that you go straight through the immagration line though as I believe they have had staff shortages for passport controls. Then when you are through it should be fine to chill near the gate or whatever. If you're checking a bag though I can't be sure it'll make it with 1 hr connection time.
This nearly missed my second flight from Newcastle to Zurich given I needed to enter another immigration queue at Schipol despite having more than enough time to transfer.
